Hey everyone. It`s a rainy (read: pouring rain all day) day, so I thought I`d pst my last couple non-"Wash & Wax" details.
First up, Infiniti FX45. Owner is very particular about the paint; washes it every day (even in the winter); as a result it had some reasonably deep marring. Nice guy; has a 550 Spyder replica in his living room. My kinda people. :) Took about 5 hours.
Process was:
ONR
Clay Magic
Menzerna IP/orange @ 1400
Menzerna FPII/grey @ 1200
Zaino Z2Pro x2
The regulars, megs hot shine, poorboys TR, 303 in wells, etc.

Next up, Mercedes ML500. Same owner as the Ferrari 550 below; it`s his daily driver. Hideous condition - the dealer washes it and it shows. Tons of long deep brush scratches all over the sides, hood, and rear. The paint was starting to oxidize too. Interior was actually ok. All Opt used on this one as I was outside and it was 111F. :/ Took about 7 hours.
Process was:
ONR
Clay
Megs WB on wheels (if I could marry this stuff, I would)
OHC/yellow @ 1500
OC/OP/white @ 1300
OP/grey via PC
P21S polishing soap on chrome/metal.

Very nice job...why does the owner wash the FX *every* day. Even I think that is too much

Ferrari 550 Maranello. Same one I did in early June. It got IP/FP/106ff + Souveran last time. This time it didn`t need much of anything. The Souveran was still beading really well and was slick/glossy. I washed and applied another coat of souveran. I normally wouldn`t post wash & wax pics but last time I didn`t have sun and this time I did!

Last, and certainly not least - a Toyota Sienna Minivan, interior only. The customer called me and normally I`d have declined the appointment, however she was a referal so I accepted. She told me that there had been a coffee stain and it "smelled bad", ok no problem.
Well that wasn`t the only stain, and the smell wasn`t coffee. It was 4 years of food, gum, coffee, oil, you name it. Process was:
303 cleaner on the carpets, mats, etc.
APC everywhere, and I mean everywhere.
Woolite/water on leather
LGM xWho knows how much
vaccuum...a lot.
Sticker removal from windows! :D
Red alert and bac-out (thanks grouse!)
Time was...long.

I guess he enjoys it. I know it doesn`t need it. :)

Did you have to put the pics of the 550 so close to that nasty interior of the Sienna? :chuckle:
That ML500 was bad, great job!

Beautiful! That ML500 before and after is amazing, and the FX45 just glows. Souveran looks soo sexy on that Ferrari. Sweet work.

There is a solution for that! Use one of the 550 ones as a desktop; that`s what I do! Anything to get that Sienna interior as far back into the recesses of my brain as possible...

Loving the website Picus... only thing that popped out to me is possibly it would help to preload all the slides on the front page as the page loads... rather than load them as they are called for, as it SEEMS is what happens now... correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks for the feedback :2thumbs:
Right now the pics are set to pre-load, however on firefox/mozilla they do not (they do on IE). I am working on that. I also made them much smaller (all under 100K) for quicker loads. I am working on a new version of that splash page that eliminates the scrolling pictures; it`s the most "controversial" feature of the site. :)

Great job.. I know the years-old dirty car smell too well. Glad you could get it out, it`s hard work.

See you`re fan of Meg`s WB too. You use full or dilute it?
