Im sure you all get tired of newbs asking questions, but I was wanting to introduce myself and ask a few. Im a meguiars enthusiast, that’s purty much all I use on my Jeep, and I am looking to buy a buffer and have settled on this one( http://www.detailcity.com/porter-cable-7424-dual-action-polisher.html ). Is that a good buffer? I noticed that it comes with a backing plate and a foam pad but should I get one of the polishing pads or finishing pads? I try to do the 3 step(paint cleaner, polish, and wax) at least twice a year. Before heading off to college this fall Im wanting to go ahead and get it over with so I don’t have to worry about it while in school.
One thing Ive noticed about meguiars wax is it only last about 4-5months if I do not keep it up with quik detailer or quik wax, which is something I may not be able to do with engineering school. Is there another wax that doesn’t cost a lot and last longer? Ive heard of this Rejex stuff. Is it any count? Thanks guys!
