Hey Guys

I`ve noticed that most of ya use acronyms for the products you use and applications so I figured this thread could be a place to define them for beginners like me.

A few questions to start it off:

What is marring? How does it occur? What can you do to prevent it?

How is swirling formed? What can you do to prevent it?

What are the various numbers when you talk about polishes? like #80 & #22 and what not?

Chime in guys! Post anything you think will be useful that you usually use in your regular lingo. :2thumbs:

:welcome Upper right corner of home page and it is being updated shortly with new acronyms--Secret Decoder Ring (http://www.autopia.org/forum/faq.php?faq=secret_decoder_ring)

I highly recommend reading DavidB`s free detailing guide http://www.guidetodetailing.com/articlenoheader.php?articleId=58 to help answer many newby questions.

As was mentioned, the decoder ring is in need of a major update. It`s missing quite a bit.
