hey guys

i was thinking to try out restoleum expoxy shield but my garage floor has a TON of stains. the people that used to live in this house had a stove in the garage to cook fish to avoid the smell in the house so their are alot of cooking oil stains and oil stains in general.

so any idea what i can use to clean that oil that has been sitting for very long?

and how clean does your floor have to be to put expoxy shield on anyway?

thanks guys

well, in most cases, I`ve been told you wont be cleaning your floor for surface prep, so much as etching it.

Try Simple Green, 409, etc... to get rid of oil stains like yours.

Etch the concrete with agitated muratic acid. Trust me, that cleans the floor.

Look into professional grade paint/epoxy. I doubt that you`ll be happy in the long run with something from Lowe`s or Home Depot...
