I got paint overspray all over my black car.

The contractor responsible has hired these guys (http://www.overspray.com/NewFiles/stateofart.html) but I saw they job they did on sample car and went to my own detailer to get the car done. He estimates it will cost around $300 to fix. I pick the car up tomorrow.

Does the overspray co`s website seem like they are using a cheesy method/quick fix?

$300 is about right, correct? I`m going to have to bring the estimate and work out what compensation I can get from the construction co`s insurance. I expect to get at least partially reembursed.

That site looks like a load of 5h17 to me. Eraser pad? Looks to me like they are just claying the car then waxing it. If that`s all that is you could do that yourself for 20 bucks.

me neither...that and the fact that they "finished" in 1.5 hours made me decide not to go with them. I also didn`t see any of these pads when they were doing the job. Only disposable shop towels.

Still... hopefully it wasn`t minor enough to fix with clay barring... I`d hate to think you had to pay someone 300 bucks for claying your car. :werd:

This level of overspray is present all over the car.

I decided (impatiently) to have a detailer take care of it now rather than later due to the idea that it will probably be a month or more before this company gets to it. There are about 90 cars on the list. About 20 or 30 of them are as covered as mine.

you have the right to have your own shop repair the problem, and to submit the bill for repayment.

If they refuse to pay, file a small claims court claim, I guarantee you`ll be payed

Robot: I told you not to let those guys touch your car. I hope you found a good detailer.
