My Makita rotary is on the brink...it`s got well over 2,000 hours, so I guess that`s not too bad. Does the factory do the repaits themselves? The trigger doesn`t work every time a squeeze it...

Thanks.

Hmm, check the carbon brushes first, with that much usage, that`s the first to go... they`re dirt cheap and easy to replace as we..

Look on the Makita site for factory service centers. They do great work and are very reasonable. I have lots of Makita tools and have had severa repaired over the years. I still have some 7.2 volt drills that are almost 25 years old!

Check your power chord as they are usually the first thing to go and they are super easy to fix.

Thanks - I`ll give it a run-though myself before sending in for repair, checking the power cord first as I have a tendancy to continously twist the cord from picking up and setting down the machine so often.

Hey Rag,

I think that they fix the tools on site.

Give them a call and see what they can do for you.
