I am trying to choose an appropriate interior dressing to use as my go to product, and I have some questions. I currently have both PB Natural Look and 303 Aerospace. I am wondering where Meguires #40 and Optimum Protectant would rank in terms of shine and protectant quality for my dash. I am looking for as Matte a finish as possible, with the maximum possible gain.

Which product would give the best protection and least shine of those mentioned?

I appreciate any words of wisdom from the field of experts here...thanks guys.

~Darren

most matte finish for me has been Optimum`s. 303 second.

Most MATTE has to be 1Z`s Cockpit Detailer. I havent used Optimum`s, but #40 is okay, prefer the look of 303 best.

Can you use optimum on exterior rubber, tires and trim.

#40 is my favorite just because it`s got the most accurate new car smell of any product i`ve ever tried, but it`s definitely not as matte as 303 or Optimum.

I know you did not mention it but Four Star Professional Rubber and Vinyl Protectant leaves a really nice matte finish. No shine at all.

I like these three:

1. Wolfgang Vinyl & Rubber Treatment (semi-glossy)

2. 1Z Cockpit Premium (very matte look)

3. Zaino Z-10 or add Z-26 if you want more gloss.

Optimum actually has a tire shine, but you can use Protectant Plus as well.

I was looking on Autogeek.net and noticed that OPP is $10.99 for 17oz and $29.99 for 1 gallon. I have a tendency to purchase in bulk since I find it has more bang for the buck.

As far as durability, Optimum products have been wonderful for me and I was wondering if OPP is as easy/long lasting as all their other products.

The ones on your list that I have used which leave a nice, matte finish I would say PB`s NL and 303. Both are excellent in my opinion for durable, matte finish on interiors. NL has strong cherry scent if I remember correctly.

For looks, I like 303 the best. But if you`re looking for matte, Klasse VRLP is almost flat, even less sheen than 303. It lasted a year in my interior giving me no haze on glass, doesn`t attract dust, cleans plastic very well and restores color to faded surfaces.
