um, there are like thousands to choose from, and many that are designed for the sole purpose of cleaning paint unlike aio.

Depends a lot on what you trying to `clean` with your pre-wax `cleaner`. Also depends on what you are going to top it with.
PB`s Pro Polish is good chemical polish/cleaner.
Four Star Ultimate Paint Cleaner is also good, especially under UPP.
If you are going to top with carnauba, I like PB`s PwC or CK VM.
I know it`s not your question, but AIO is one of my favorite pre-wax cleaners and you can`t go wrong with it IMO.

Some of my favorites include:
Sonus Paintwork Cleanser paired with Sonus` SFX polish system.
Zymol HD-Cleanse
My favorite otc paint cleaning polishes include:
Gliptone Pro-Buff Polish
Mothers CG Paint Cleaner
Meguiars DC Paint cleaner (Both Mothers and Meguiars can be widely found in most autoparts supply stores).

AIO is my favorite. I also have P21s, pretty good, and 4*, four star is my go to when AIO is running out. Anymore, I`ll just buy AIO and us eit for everything as it`s so versatile and adds a little protection.

I think FK has a product similar to AIO called number 215. Haven`t tried it yet but I`ve heard it is pretty good.

Two that I like that haven`t been mentioned yet: AutoGlym SRP, Pinnacle PCL.
The SRP doesn`t clean as well as AIO but it lasts longer by itself and doesn`t highlight marring as much as AIO.

Better question... what is a pre-wax cleaner supposed to do?
The best pre-wax cleaner is detailing clay. If I`m doing a thorough detail, I follow clay with my favorite pre-wax cleaner polish.
A pre-wax cleaner polish should:
1. Chemically clean deep into the pours of the paint (something clay cannot do).
2. Provide a very light polishing to remove oxidation and brighten single stage paints.
3. Rollover the hard edges of fine swirl marks to diminish their appearance.
4. Add gloss and slickness in preparation for a quality LSP.
Now, talk about products that actually do that!
