This car is one of the most badly swirled up car I have ever done and to add to that, there were lots of surface scratches all over the car. The photos below will show you what I meant,

After washing, claying and drying the car, when the car was pull into the shade, you can easily see all the scratches on the car.

I thought it will be a good chance to really test out the cyclo machine and I must say I am pretty impressed by it.

Process,

1) Power Gloss + cutting pad + cyclo ( 2 passes in general, certain area 3 passes)

2) PO106FF + polishing pad + DA @ speed 4.5

Here’s how it looked like after the above process,

And here’s the before and after shots,

After the polishing steps, I than proceed with JW Prime using a light polishing pad and a DA @ speed 4, let it cured for 30 minutes while I do up the tyres and some clean up job. Buff off the residue with a MF towel, than follow by JW Acrylic Jett applied with a MF towel by hand. Here’s the end result,

Fantastic work - it was in miserable shape; was that the owners doing or was it a pre-owned car? It`d be a shame for it to go back now that it looks so incredible.

Thanks for the compliment, I uses the yellow cutting pads from cyclo and my new order of the 4" pads from Exceldetail have yet to arrive.

This car is only 1 year plus old and according to the owner, he has sent the car to a few other groomers who did not manage to remove the defects for him. In fact he was pretty doubtful at first whether I can remove the defects for him and after seeing the result, he is now a very happy man.

those are the most abrasive pads to my understanding, thats some cut on Honda paitn as its usually quite soft. Who many mNs of paint were removed do you know?

Pics look great. always like the half and half shots

I did try using the white pads from cyclo but it does not work on the defects, that`s why I have ordered some orange and green pads and hopefully I do not need to use so much of the yellow pads in the future. Btw thanks for the comments and the tips.

Amazing turnaround!

Yeah, the Cyclo is definitely more aggressive than the PC! An marring from the yellow pads on the Honda paint? I didn`t get any on an S600 I did this past week (using Hyper Compound) but Mercedes paint is a lot harder than Honda paint.
