Dave had already been to see me regarding his BMW, he had been using a local valeting company, who, judging by the car`s presentation wasn`t really much further advanced than a `splash n dash` mobile van....

Here`s the car on arrival:

Firstly I sorted the interior, full vac out, then interior windows and plastics cleaned. I also cleaned the drives matt with some upholstery cleaner as an extra for Dave.

I then started out by giving the car a good rinse using the karcher, then washed using the two bucket method. Whilst I washed the car, I left the arches and alloys to soak with a layer of All Purpose Cleaner....

Once fully washed, and clean, I clayed the car using DP clay. Some areas required a lot of work:

Once clayed, I then dried using a MF cloth (cobra multi purpose) and Dave went round the car and spotted any scratches with a piece of masking tape whilst I taped up all the plastics for protection.

With everything taped up I used a light cut four inch spot pad, and Meguiars DACP #83 to remove the defects and surface scratches. Having spent a good half hour going round the car, and alsodoing the whole boot panel we could then move on and start to improve the overall appearance.

Using a polishing pad and Pinnacle Cleansing Lotion I cleansed the panels and removed the in-ground dirt from the paintwork. Dave commented on how the depth of the paint appeared to be much improved, showing lines where I had completed and was moving to next.

Once fully clean, I used Pinnacle Advanced Finishing Polish and a finishing pad to put some life and gloss into the paint.

Next was the Wolfgang Hi Gloss Sealant, applied using the PC and a finishing pad. This was left to cure for 30 minutes whilst I applied Megs #20 sealant to the alloys, and AG glass polish to the exterior glass.

The heat of the day proving useful I demonstarted to Dave how easily the wolfgang just simply wipes off leaving a really silky smooth glossy shine. I also wiped the alloys and glass clear before applying Armor All Tyre Gel to the treads.

Lastly, and using a foam applicator I applied Pinnacle Signature Series Wax to the whole car, wiping off panel at a time.
