Detailed this Dodge Dakota, 2001, been working on it off and on for the past two days. Many scratches and paint chips on the body, owner didn’t want to pay to have those fixed. So just swirl removal on this…
Process was:
Dawn wash
Clay
Amazing roll off in wells,tires,wheels
Wheels also got cleaned with Poorboys Acid Wheel Cleaner
Orange Light Cut Pad with PG/RMG mix
White Pad and FPII/3m 05937 a line of each on the pad
Once worked in really good I switched to a finishing pad and spritzed the surface with Meguiars #34 and went over the area on speed 4 (made for very easy removal)
IPA wipe down to ensure clean surface
Zaino Z5Pro (ZFXd)
Z8
Z6 to clean up before arrival of owner
Wheel wells received CD-2 Engine Detailer
Tires received Zaino Z16 Tire Gloss
Z16 on all trim
CG VRT on bed cover

Nice job, the paint looks really good. Any full truck shots?
How`d you like buffing it out with that curvy hood? ;)

can I ask why you use ZFX when you only applied one coat?

You need to use ZFX when you apply the INITIAL coat of Zaino Z2/Z5 for proper bonding. ZFX is also used for applying up to three layers per 24 hour period.

Thanks for the compliments
Scott- I dont have any other full car shots, the ones I did have I deleted because they were basically just pure reflection. While I enjoy thiose pictures, some people might think of it as cheating to try and make my detail look good. Next time I see the truck I will snap a few pictures for ya :)

Just wanted to say thanks for all the compliments, I got called yesterday at around 2 pm yesterday to complete a full exterior detail on a Red F-150, so I started at 10:30 pm and called it a night at 4 am, when I get home from working at 2 I have to finish it up so I will post pictures of the completed vehicle...Seems like all I get to detail is trucks lately, I cant wait till a little kia comes my way :) or at least a vehicle where I dont need a ladder to buff the roof. Thanks again everyone!
