I have a question for the full time detailers. I am starting to generate a bit more business and want to offer my customers the assurance of insurance. I am curious to know from others, 1) Do you have insurance? 2) What is the general/avg cost? 3) Who insures you and what are the limits/coverages?

Thank you in advance for the professional advice.

I carry a Garagekeepers Policy as well as Commercial General Liability and both were retained by an insurance broker who did all the finagling for me. GK covers damage/loss of vehicle that I work on and my CG covers injury to a bystander who slips in my puddle and breaks a leg. Price is dependent on your area, annual receipts, years in business, claims and Coverage Limits AFAIK. Those two policies run me about $1750/year. Don`t under insure yourself. . . people are slick.
