[quote name=`Dave KG`]Well, with the car safely back from the bodyshop with a mighty fine repair in all honesty, I decided to give it a quick detail this afternoon as the weather was so nice I wanted to be outside doing something!!
Looking through my detailing collection, I found my bottle of Clearkote Vanilla Moose Wax Hand Glaze ,and remembering that I loved the results this delivered on silver before I decided to use it again.
So, the car was washed with Meguiars Hyper Wash, and pat dried using a Pakshak Waffle Weave towel. I then applied the Clearkote VM by PC, using a 6" Sonus SFX-3 pad. Spread on speed 3 for one quick pass, then four or five slow passes on speed 5 with light to medium pressure. Residue buffed off with a Pakshak Ultra Plus towel.
This was then followed up with a Pinnacle SignatureI wax, spit-shine using Meguiars Last Touch as the "spit". Applied by PC, using a 7" Sonus DAS Blue pad, a lovely soft pad that seems to be made for waxing and sealing.
Also done, the tyres were blackened using Autoglym #5 Rubber Cleaner Plus and the glass done with Clearkote VM by PC also. The end results...

A nice glossy silver, as I like to try and keep it - the paint appears wet and the sunlight seems to sparkle off of it...
