Got my new car yesterday, spent today on an exterior detail, probably doing the interior on the next free day I have off. Some scratches I couldnt get out but oh well, it is 20 year old paint. AIO alone worked wonders on the oxidation, and I had my first try with OP, which after reading some of the posts here lately about it, was disappointing, application wise (bottle, lumpy polish).

Hood was from another car, horribly dirty before it was washed, and still after it was washed.

Great job, your car looks 100% better...hopeyou enjoy it - Your poor towels though...I did a oxidation job a couple weeks ago, if I would have realized at the time that it permanently puts the red on your towels I would have charged a little more, now Im stuck with ordering new towels and putting those towels to grunge duty. :(

These are by far my favorite details, it shows great results both through the black and red....on the bad side the pad turns redish brown :wall

Awsome job! :2thumbs:

Great restoration.

I love FC RX7`s, especially the 1989-1991 models. Here are a few pics of my 1991 RX7 with 16k miles.

The paint is all original, so you can get an idea about how much oxidation affects single stage reds over the years.
