Do you need all three of the optimum system?

On autogeek, they CLAIM that any of the optimums can be used by themselves, however I know that`s not going to be the case.

However, can one skip from hyper right to the polish? or do you need to work your way down through the steps?

I could live without OC. And yes, you can go from OHC to OP...assuming you didn`t apply OHC with a wool pad.

OHC and OP are both great to have, plus you can mix them 50/50 for something close to OC.

does optimum dust and have oils?

No dusting even in the full sun and it has some light lubricating oils but they don`t seem to have any filling properties.

Maybe i was mistaken i thought optimum was a rotary product.

From what I`ve read OP is more effective on a rotary than on a DA. OC and OHC work fine on a DA though from what I`ve read and experienced (OC). I prefer OC over OP on a DA, or a 50/50 mix.

^ it depends on how bad the defects are i think personally. I find Opt polish and compound have the same cutting consistency on my rotary for certain jobs. I also find Opt compound overall more effective by rotary for heavy swirl marking over a pc. If light marring, an orange pad with Polish suffices as well on my pc. So it really matters the panel you are working on.
