845 is a carnauba product in which I`m sure it contains polymer (sealant) while PB EX is an aminofunctional polymer sealant which contains carnauba. Boundary must have been so blurred...

Which one of these two has better durability anyway?

I`d go with collinite 845-I think it lasts longer

845 is no doubt longer lasting. Unless you ware working in the sun, 845, to me, is a superior product.

845, hands down.

Not all poylmer technologies are similar. There are many types of polymers that companies can choose from, which is what makes them more or less durable than others.

Yeah I`d go with the collinite as well. At 2+ months it still has decent slickness(with NO QD help) and beads like a champ. Can`t go wrong with it.

I`ve got 845 on a family van that stays outside 24/7 and it`s holding up very well and looking very nice after over a month of pretty frequent rain. Beading still going strong and still looks good to me.

On another car, I`ve got EXP and topped with Pink Wax, so not too sure that would be a good apples to apples comparison. But that combo is holding up pretty well. But then again, the car with EXP/PW is parked under cover and isn`t driven daily.

I would say that EXP/PW is pretty durable, but 845 would win hands down.

Between EX and EX-P I think EX-P is far more durable. I would think EX-P compares well to IW in the durability tests.

Ex or EX-p can not hold a candle to any of the collinite waxes....If collinite waxes hold up for a entire New England winter..and EX or EX-P hold up for half a summer..what would you pick....Plus collinite will hold up for the whole summer even in the heat...

we use collinite on the boat which is in the water 24/7 from April to Sept...and it still beads and easy to wash off lake scum...It is the superman of carnauba waxes...

I`ve used all 3 and I find that EX-P gives very good durability. Not knockin` Collinite but EX-P lasts well.

I just happen to have the EX-P and the 845 ( just acquired ) and will soon be doing a durability test to see which holds up better on my wifes 96 Mystic as it sits out 24/7/365

In my experiences EX-P doesn`t even come close to Collinite. :nixweiss It`s more forgiving to apply though...it doesn`t punish me when I apply too thick...
