I sold my STi pedals and am waiting on a set of WRX pedals to arrive. I did that because I can get a dead pedal to match the WRX ones and the STi pink just wasn`t doing it for me. I don`t have pictures of those yet, obviously, but this is what they will look like:

Not a bad start I`d say. Now I just need to start saving my nickles and dimes so I can get an Accessport and start tuning this thing. While I was breaking it in I figured there was no harm in dressing it up a bit. :D Its also got 3 coats of WG, one coat of Pinnacle Signature and a coat of Liquid Souveran. Oh, and it has a custom installed door ding on the passenger side rear door that I need to pull out this weekend. :boohoo Oh well.... what can ya do, right?

Getting a lot done to it man. Did you use spray tint for the lights or go with tinted rockblocker?

Its not `rockblocker` by name, but its the same type stuff. It looks great durring the day, but the light is hindered quite a bit. I think I`m going to pull those off and leave them clear unless I can find a set that isn`t quite as dark. I do 99% of my driving when the sun is up, but those HIDs weren`t free and I don`t want them covered up, ya know?

IMO I like it better without the smoked look anyway. Plus, at night it allows you to see better and shows off those HIDs better too. ;)

Yeah, I agree. I don`t really do any driving at night except maybe on weekends. My wife and I work totally opposite shifts, so we never get to go out. When we do go out we take the Scooby. I don`t want to be escorting my fine lady around the town with crappy headlight output now, would I? The Fuzz would have my head for something like that. lol

I`ve seen what they look like with painted insides. Those headlights look smooth with the chrome painted black. I think they look good either way, so I`ll just pull the tint off and be happy with them the way they came. It was worth a shot. I got a great deal on them from the same guy I bought my HIDs from. 8 bucks is all they cost me. That isn`t bad compared to the $50 or $60 that he sells them to everybody else for. He wanted me to take some pictures of them so he could use them for advertising purposes. I still need to do that before I pull them off, but it was worth the $8 bucks to see how the car looked with them.

Yeah, not a bad deal at all.

I can not wait for Spring to get here so I can install my goodies!

I had to pull the smoked covers off. They were just too dark. I got to looking at them and decided that I could probably still use the corners. So I did some trimming and put them over the amber turn signals. I think it looks pretty good this way. The line is really easy to cut on these because it exists so perfectly on the light. The line of the cover just blends right in.

Looks better, eh? The manufacturer likes the idea and wants me to make a template for them so they can produce them. I`m surprised they didn`t think of this themselves.

Looks great so far. I really like your "custom" smoked corners. The bright amber markers stood out like a sore thumb on your car. The smoked corners fit in nicely with your bug guard and give your car an overall cleaner look, while being legal :cool

Wow!

Where did you get the tint for the headlights?

The brand name is Clear Guard on these. There are others branded Rockblocker that makes them for the Legacy. I don`t know if Xpel makes smoked ones or not, but that is another company that makes protective covers for headlights.

I`ve got some left over from the headlights that I`m going to carve up a bit and see if I can tint the blinkers on the mirrors. All I need to do is get brighter bulbs and they`ll be just as visible as ever. Maybe white bulbs instead of orange ones. We`ll see how impaired they are. Maybe Clear Guard will start making those next. :)

How`d you install the bug guard and window tint? Thinking of all those myself!

The window tint I had done at a shop. I know how to tint, but its worth it to have someone else do it. That way if it bubbles or has other problems then I at least have some kind of warranty on it.

The bug guard was easy. There isn`t any drilling into the car at all. It utilizes holes that are already in the hood. The kit comes with some plastic plugs that fit into some holes under the hood and then you can screw the brackets into them. There are also some clear protective pieces that go over the lip of the hood so the brackets don`t scratch. There is zero contact with the paint with anything that could harm the paint. There are even little silicone blobs under the visor to keep it from rubbing the paint. Removing it will be easy too. I think I need to take it off every now and then just so I can clean under it. I don`t want waterspots and crud under there.
