After reading David B`s detailing guide, I`ve decided to use a synthetic wax on my two new 06 Honda Accords. The two products that are readily available to me are Turtle Wax "ICE" and F21. Both are synthetic products according to the TW website.

I`ve used TW F2001 before on my old Chevy, but it didn`t really seem to last long...30 - 60 days.

So here are my questions:

1) Is F21 the same product as the old Formula 2001 ?

2) Has anyone used the new "ICE" synthetic wax, and were you pleased with it? Does it last?

I enjoy working on my cars finishes, but with two new cars to take care of, I need something that will last, and won`t break my back to apply/remove. I don`t plan on using a PC. I pull the cars in the basement and make an afternoon of it.

To David B.....thanks for posting your guide on this site. It`s a wealth of information. :2thumbs:

*From what I`ve heard*

1) Yes, there are the same

2) Durability of ICE is extremely disappointing...some say two weeks and it`s gone

If you have a Pepboys nearby, look for Mothers FX Synwax or Mothers Reflections Advanced Car Wax.
