Greetings all. Well it is a balmy 95 degrees here in southern California and of course I forgot my E-Z up. Not to mention, my friend couldn`t fit his car totally in to his garage, but, that being said.... I think the finished product isn`t too bad.

I labeled this "shotgun approach" for the following reasons,

1) Wash -NXT Tech Wash

2) Clay

3) Spot polish the worst scratches with Chemical Guys Spider Web/Scratch Remover and the Hitachi rotary with the Meg`s W8006 pad

4) Polish with Meg`s #80 and Cyclo utilizing the green polishing pads.

5) Seal with Chemical Guys Extreme Topcoat Sealant with 3X Nuba. (PC with W8006 pads)

6) LSP Chemical Guys XXX Hardcore Paste wax. (Remove with MF bonnet on the PC)

While I normally NEVER would polish and wax in this heat and sun, I must admit I was really suprised how well the CG did in the heat. The best feeling is when the owners wife (the Real owner of the car) says " This looks better than the day I picked it up!

Anyhow, time for rehydration....please let me know what ya think. Good or bad, it`s the best way to improve!

PS... I know I am supposed to before and after.....but sometimes my A.D.D. kicks..hey look a butterfly :lol

Truly excellent! The paint looks flawless! :)

How did you get #80 to work in the sun? Even on a day in the low 80s, I had problems with it gumming up (via PC). Maybe the Cylco (which I now have) works it better on warm to hot surfaces?

BTW, no sympathy for me on the weather, I detailed 8 cars this week in the full sun with temperatures in the mid 90s to around 100.

Hey Scottwax, thank you for the thumbs up. I have always been impressed with your work so I highly value your opinion.

I haven`t made up my mind yet on the Cyclo, but, I can say that using it with #80 and #83 I don`t have any of the gumming up prob`s that I do when using them with a PC or RB. I dunno if it`s the torque or what but the Meg`s polishes work awesome with the Cyclo. (Normally I dread using them on warm days, glad to hear it`s not just me. )

Scottwax, since it sounds like you and I work in similiar conditions, can you give me a good recommendation for polishes/glazes and or waxes that you find work okay in the heat? Thank you

Optimum, Poorboys and Clearkote products all work great in the full sun...in fact, I just posted a C&B thread with several full sun details. :)

Thanks for your input on Meguiars with the Cyclo.

NP Scott. Thanks for your tips!

Speaking of the Cyclo, have you used the brushes on floormats/carpet yet? Brushes are so expensive, but, I figure I should add some to my aresenal.

The carpet scrubbers work great! Just sprayed with my Woolite/water mixture and ran the Cyclo over the mats for about 20-30 seconds.

The SP23 was a limited Edition roll out in the middle of the `05 model year. From what I have read, the package include leather int, diff alloy rims, sound system, color and one or two other nice whistles and bells

Lovely refections from the grey paint, and the way the flake is popping in the sunlight is wonderful. Lovely car, lovely detail. :bigups
