I`ve been trying to understand each of Zaino`s products (mainly the paintwork ones) and figure out where they come in the detailing process and what their contemporary equivalents are. Much of it is obvious until you come to Z5.

Z2 Pro & Z3 - Sealants

Z6 Quick Detailer and Gloss Enhancer

Z7 Shampoo

Z8 Super-duper Gloss Enhancer (and how!)

So what is Z5? The nearest equivalent I could come up with is that`s it`s Zaino`s version of a glaze. Would you agree with this?

Well...sort of. It`s also an LSP, whereas normally a glaze would need to be followed by an LSP to have any longevity. I`ve never used Z5-Pro, but in my limited Zaino experience, I liked Z5 better than Z2-Pro, it was easier on/off. As is usually noted in discussions of Z5, it`s filling properties are extremely minimal; not sure how much better Z5-Pro might be.

Z-5 Pro is a lot better. Sal`s improved the formula and it has better optical qualities and does a better job filling.

Z5 Pro and Z2 Pro are both sealants. Z5 Pro has some slight fillers and a slightly different appearance than Z2 Pro.

I was thinking about buying both, applying a layer of Z5pro to get rid of some minor scratches, then waiting a day and applying Z2pro. Is this a good idea?

Is Z-2 Pro oil based? I think Z5 is water based and Z-5PRO is oil based. The mixing bottle cleans up 100% with Z5, and does not come clean using only water for the Z2.

I just throw away the bottle after using the Z-2 Pro. $0.79 for squeeze bottles in the Bathroom/Travel section at The Container Store. Not worth the hassle of cleaning bottles.

C`mon! - I split 2 ply toilet paper so I fet double the usage!

It was just an abservation, I wonder if the make up adds or depletes form the product ability.
