Just a quick question. I just purchased some RMG and will be tracking down the UPS driver every day until it arrives. My question is do I need to prep the car at all before using this? The car has P21S wax on it and the finish is in excellent condition. Sooo, my plan is to just hit the car with RMG with the PC and them cover it with Pinnacle Souveran wax. It is my understanding based on the discription of RMG it does have some mild cleaning agents which makes me believe that I don`t have to repolish the finish before RMG. THANKS again.

I would at least remove the existing wax before RMG so the oils from RMG come in direct contact with the paint and work it in for a while, it will be easier to remove. A little goes a long way.

Good luck

Just to get an idea. Here is RMG topped with IW 845 just on the hood.

I LOVE my RMG. I dont think there is a better glaze out there. Like said, a little of this stuff goes a long way. Made my paint look deeper and definitely a lot richer.

Just use a paint cleaner, then you should be good to go. Shouldn`t have to repolish so long as you`re happy with your current surface.

Prepare! It is the worst smelling product of the Universe! Works great though... :D

is AIO ok to use prior to applying the RMG?

I would think so. If you`re happy with the "lack of" marring on the finish, then AIO would make everything nice and clean, with no other products on the finish. Then, you can go with RMG (I tried it, and like it), then top with whatever LSP you want.

I have RMG topped with Natty`s Blue, and I really like it. Topped with Souveran, that would be a nice combo, IMO.

What type of pad do you use with RMG with a PC? Thanks.

I use an LC grey pad for RMG.

What about topping with CMW ?

What CK product`s is good for stripping off old product ? I thought the RMG would do that ?

Do you guys think it would be okay to use RMG directly after Optimum Polish? Or would I need to use something in between them like VM or AIO?

Thanks.

If you are happy with the condition after polishing with OP continue on to RMG and top with your LSP. My LSP after RMG is usually CMW or Souveran.

RMG + CMW is a very deep looking combo. RMG used with a finishing pad should be enough to strip a carnauba, step up to Vanilla Moose to strip a sealant.

RMG has worked great over any polish I have used with it.

Would pink moose (50/50) applied by hand with a terry pad be enough to strip the protection I have now, which is EX x 2. I always figured something like VM could be used as a "cleaner" and I was just going to combine RMG with it to save a step.

I`d use a 50/50 mix of IPA:H20 to help remove the P21s. Then RMG+LSP. Here`s an MX5 that I did with RMG+845:
