I`ve been lurking here for a while, trying to decide what to do with my Miatae, a 2000 Twilight Blue and a 2006 Copper Red.

I`ve been a fan of Zaino Z5 for about 4 years, but it did not really go well with the curvy blue Miata, though it looked great on the 2006 Copper Red car. The problem was that the brilliance of the reflection muted the color and the curves of the blue Miata. I wanted to keep the paint enhancing properties of the Zaino, but get a warmer carnauba depth, with good durability though.

What I wound up with;

Dawn

Clay Magic clay

Z1

Z5

Z5

Z5Pro

476s

Z6

Everything done by hand.

When I was finished, I was simply blown away by the warm glow and depth and the seemingly liquid curves of the finish. I drove the car for a week, then washed it. It looked even better. It now almost looked like multiple layers of candy blue laquer. Even my fiance and her parents were blown away by it.

So I did the same thing to the Copper Red Miata, and put another coat of 476s on the Blue one. I waited a day, then washed them both. My fiance said that they make her hungry for candy.

I`ve been told that AIO/SG/Souveran would look even better, but I don`t feel that it could possibly look enough better to buy 3 more products, when I`m happy with this setup, which is already paid for, both in dollars and sweat. I also wonder if it would last as long as I`m expecting this combo to. Comments welcome.

Thse are pictures shot before the final wash. It was dark when I finished, and the cars were covered with dew this morning.

Have you ever tried Z8? It might provide the look you want and won`t adversly affect bonding of additional layers like 476
