I posted this question in the detailing section but I will try here aswell

With using SSR 2.5 it was wierd, not a lot of the mild swirls were removed, and in some areas added.

I know its not the product, SSR is well renouned, so it must be me. I was using a terry towel at first, and then tired more than one terry, which I have been using for a while, and know that they dont cause swirls. So what am I doing wrong.

I know, I should be using it with a PC, but I am low on cash and will be ordering one in a while.

Anything I can do for now?

you need to follow up with a finer polish after the ssr2.5 like ssr1 or optimum polish, the reason being is that you are causing micromarring with ssr2.5 since it is a stronger polish. other than that, it looks great

I`ll promise you that terry towels cause marring.

Is that your issue? I dunno...

Try this... Move/wipe your terry towel in only one direction. Use a 500 watt halogen light to view your work, at a 90 degree angle. Can you see the results of your `effort`?

Microfiber towels have a purpose. Don`t fight the tide... :) :wow:

I did try to move in one direction, so you suggest going over it with ssr1?

I`d say SSR 2 would be a better bet.

i was under the impression that SSR2.5 required a PC.. because the heat is required to cut and polish as it breaks down. I would imagine without a pc, you would just be pushing the polishers linearly into the paint causing the marring.

Did you refold the towels for each section? If not, then a build-up of polish and dead paint could have caused your problems. A PC would be a worthwhile investment to be sure.

Looks really good in the pics, though, very deep and black-still probably looks better than 995% of the cars on the road. I bet if you can resolve your swirling issues, it would take you car to the next level.

Would AIO work in this instance? I have SSR1, but personally have found liitle to no use for it (I REALLY didnt like it... )

Thanks.
