Hey folks,

I`m going to be helping a friend detail his Sunlight Silver Mazda, photo here (http://www.msprotege.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=79986).

These are the waxes that I have:

Poorboy`s EX-P (new formulation) Meguiar`s #21 Mother`s Reflections Advanced Car Wax (don`t have Top Coat though)

I was going to top with Zaino Z8 regardless, but if that`s a bad idea on top of any of those, let me know.

What do you think will look best?

I am leaning towards Meg`s #21, as I will be able to work in the shade (in a garage), so that`s no problem, and it should last longer. However, maybe EX-P looks better on that silver? I have never used EX-P before, I just got it. The Reflections does look good, but won`t last all that long. But does Reflections really look better than #21? *shrugs*

I`ve used EXP+ (+ for new formulation) on lighter metallics and it does help bring out the metallic flake. The combination that I used was AIO/EXP/FX100 with FX100 going on after each subsequent wash. Good durability so far and it`s been over 3 months. But this car is used only about 2-3 times a week and is parked in a covered car port, so it`s not really a daily driver.

Haven`t used the other two products, so can`t help you there. But I`d say that you (an your friend) should be happy with EXP.

I just put EX (incl. carnauba) on this GTI. Apply thin by hand with a MF applicator. Let stand on car 30-45 min., then wipe with MF. You can also apply with a PC with your softest pad. It`e very reflective. This is after 1 coat. I applied a 2nd coat, and then put Natty`s blue on top. Looks very nice.

This pic is after the 2nd coat of EX and a topper of Natty`s blue-scroll to the right on pic:

FreeBizz, very nice. However, I only have the pure non-carnauba EX-P. Hmm, I am leaning towards EX-P now.

So.. meg`s #21 or EX-P? What will it be?

EX-P would be perfect as they say the P "pure" version is best for light colors and metallics, and the EX w/carnauba is best for darks.

Ended up doing Zaino Z2-Pro x 3 on top of Poorboy`s SSR1 w/ Classic Motoring green pad all over. I wasn`t there to see the shine out in the sun, but my friend won in Mazda class, so I hope my waxin `helped a little.
