Attaboy, I did the same thing on my car once (2 days of polishing, waxing and perfecting), and may I suggest keeping a fridge full of cold beer during the process :).

With FK1 2180 you could protect it after a 24 hour period on fresh repaint.

I don`t think my mom would go for that.

I wasnt worried about protecting it because I know Id be doing this. I washed every weekend though.

There was a slight delay in getting my plans off on time. Last night my dad drove through a broken water main and about 3" of water. I washed and waxed his car so he Im about 2 hours behind schedule with that and some extend breaks. The engine bay took longer then expected. I have just finished Taping off the vehicle and awaiting lunch to be delivered.

Some areas may require two passes with SSR2.5 and maybe even a cutting pad. Also I am going over everything with detail. Taking off the wheels to polish them. Removing the lights to get the hard to reach spots and such.

You did see the J/K right?

Yeah but all of that could be accomplished in a day but not with the attention to detail I am trying to give.

These are the only two things keeping me going right now.

So my 3 day plan looks like it may turn into a four day. I wasnt able to get to the polishing today because one of my friends was admitted into the hospital with a kidney infection. So I went up see her. Before I started polishing. Here are some before pics.

Not to bad eh?

good luck!

I think I worked on one of those with a pc and the paint wasn`t too hard. You will do well. Make sure that the polish breaks down. Work it in well.

Im just not sure of how hard the new clear coat is, other then that it just takes time and patience. Hopefully Ill get the paint done tomorrow by four so I can go on a date. :getdown Reinstall my brushguard and hardwire my X50 tomorrow. Apply Natty`s Blue after EX has cured for 12 hours. And work on the interior for the rest the day.
