First up was an `02 Mercedes ML500. Good shape considering the age and odometer (2002/100km+). The only tough part were some really rock solid salt stains on the interior carpets.

Wash (Megs deep crystal)

OP/OC 50/50 mix via white

Clearkote RMG

.... Meg`s NXT!

Why the glaze and NXT? The SUV`s being traded in and still have some small marks the OP/OC didn`t take out. The owner and I agreed it was kind of silly to take the time to make it perfect, so fill`er up. No befores on this one, only light swirling with a few deeper bits.

Next up was an SC430, but no pics (I was in a hurry)

Next up was a 1991 Acura NSX, daily driver (I know, I love that he drives it daily :2thumbs: ). Moderate swirling, some deeper scratches, paint was a little pinkish with some oxidation on the hood. It`d never been polished. Unfortunately we only had about 3 hours, so I was only able to one polishing step. Luckily it came out *really* well. I`m going to fill in some chips and hit it with FPII at a later date and top with Souveran, should be almost perfect then. I used Nattys today because the owner is going on a 50 car drive with a bunch of exotics next weekend and wanted it to really pop.

Process:

Wash (Megs DC)

Clay

Some spot polishing with Menzerna IP/orange (hood, rear decklid)

OC/OP 50/50 mix on a white pad (really liking this combo for it`s removal/finishing ability and how well it works in the sun)

Clearkote VM/grey

Nattys Blue

Afters. Luckily the sun co-operated so I got a lot of good full-on sun shots.

i normally leave my ex-p to sit for about 15mins, then remove it.. then splash natty`s on and right off ,

:thx I thought about EX and Nattys, but like you said, just not enough time to let both haze. I think next time on that car I will do FPII/RMG/EX/Nattys *or* Souveran. Maybe skip the RMG depending on how it looks after FPII.

You don`t need to wait. I`ve never really subscribed to "curing" time and haven`t seen any durabilty issues because of it. Others might disagree, YMMV.

SG and Souveran would look very good too. Nattys is a bit more wet than Souveran (imo) at the cost of depth/gloss, and wet looks good on NSX`s because of the body lines. I think it`d be a wash on which looked better.

Thanks folks. That NSX paint really does polish out nicely. I can`t wait to work on it some more.
