Used interior quick detailer as lube for claying...

lol big noob mistake. I was in a hurry and grabbed the wrong bottle for my lube. When I did half of the car, I noticed I was using Meguiar`s interior quick detailer instead of the clay magic clay lube... :nervous2: Not sure if this was a bad thing... it seemed to do the job, but the clay magic lube did make a considerable difference and I didn`t have to use as much.



This was my first full detail... Wash, clay, paint clean, polish, and wax. The car turned out really nice, I just hope I didn`t do any damage I`m not able to see/notice using interior detailer.. Thanks to Autopians for all the help and info for my first detail job!! :thx

How do you mistake a Meguairs bottle for a Clay Magic bottle? The CM bottles look so weird...

The only bad thing that would have happened would be if you had insufficient lubrication and you marred the paint with the clay due to that. But since some people clay with plain water, you`re likely ok, if you can`t see any marring then you`re fine.

I only checked to see if the bottle I grabbed was black. They`re about the same size too. I started at 9am and I had to set up for a BBQ at 12pm so I was rushing to get the gather supplies.. When I bought the clay magic, about a month ago, I opened it to use it as a quick detailer and I guess it got mixed with all the bottles
