I am wanting to purchase a new or used pc. Anyone know who has the best price now, including S&H?
Thanks,

As far as I know the best deal is by going to your local Lowes and picking one up for $99. From there you will need to get a "good" backing plate and some pads for it.

Does the stock 7424 require a different counter balance?

If so I probably should have asked who has the best price on a pc with the appropriate counterbalance and backing plate combination.

As far as I know, Coastal Tool (www.coastaltool.com) has the best offer. $119 plus shipping ($7.50 via UPS Ground to my house). They also include (as a bonus offer) a 6-inch backing plate and counterweight for free. That is where I got mine from a couple of years ago. Hope this helps.

I got mine from Lowe`s and it`s actually the 7336. It is the same machine as the 7424 but with the 6" counterbalance which is actually the one you want. I also bought the SONUS kit for it and it was really all I needed...

I got mine from Dwayne at PAC. Support our sponsors. They make this all possible!

Lowes for $90. If you happened to move recently (not checked), you can go here: http://www.lowes.com/lkn?action=topicSelect&topic=newMovers&rn=RightNavFiles/no.html It will ask for your old/new address and email you a 10% off coupon within 5 days.

$99 at Lowes.

I just bought mine a couple of weeks ago while picking up somr material. I was there allready, saw the PC 7336SP, and figured why not.

Ordered a bunch of Edge Pads from PAC the same day.

7336 at lowes.. It seems that twice a year they have a %15 off all power tools sale.. I got mine during that time.

I know the sponsors would appreciate the business but you can`t beat the price on the PC 7336 at Lowes. $99 with a 10% discount if you sign up as a member or whatever on the internet. That is exactly what I did and I was able to spend a little more on pads from PAC. Just another person saying to buy from Lowes!

Buy that at Lowe`s and your products from the sponsors. Man, you guys are ruthless. Do you really think a person buying ONE item is going to bust the sponsors? Keep it real dudes. It won`t be the end of the world if somebody doesn`t buy something from the sponsors. :moon:

Sorry about the dumb question. I was looking at a P.C. also. About the counter weight. Is the counter weight in the plastic velcro backing plate? If I go with the 7424 do I get the 6" velcro backing plate, with a 7"pad?

Hey Jay, no dumb questions here buddy. The counter weight is at the central axis ON the PC itself. It is screwed down near the threads/stud before the pad. Stick to 6-6.5" pads on the PC...bigger than that bogs down the PC and greatly reduces the amount of OPM...like wise, a 6" pad on a rotary spins waaaayyyyy fast.

Hope that helps.

Oh ok, Thanks kick. So I can get the 7424 PC or 7336 with a 6" velcro backing plate and pads then right.
