Just wanted to share some about my day.

I met with fellow Autopian and friend, Bryan (gmblack3a) at his house today and had a great visit. I helped a little with a car he is currently working on. Bryan loaned me some product and his aqua PC brush.

After dinner with the missus I started on a "light" interior cleaning on her Tahoe. I probably should have waited till I had more time to spend on the inside, but really wanted to try some stuff. I spent about two hours and it was getting dark on me.

Interior got -

Stoners Invisible glass.

Vacuum carpets.

Automagic APC at about 10:1 wipe down on plastic trims.

The carpet got the Folex carpet cleaner with the aqua brush and PC.

Vacuum again.

303 and a buff on the trim.

Front seats (leather) got some APC with aqua brush on PC.

(Need to apply conditioner)

Floormats got APC and PC with aqua brush.

The carpet cleaner worked great.

The biggest improvement is in the one comparison picture below.

I did the floor part and need to go back to finish the vertical sections and the back of the seats.

I`m still working on my picture taking which is why I`m not sharing to many. :help:

Nice carpet cleaning job. What do you mean by aqua brush and PC? Do you mean the Porter Cable?

Here are a few reviews (http://autopia.org/forum/showthread.php?t=69990&highlight=ridgid) for some ridgid vacs. One is $90 and the other $100.

Jim-

Incredible work! Will you come put lines in the carpet in my car next? Seriously, that is some great interior work. I am looking forward to trying the Folex myself. Any tips on usage?

Hi Scott,

Thank you for the kind words.

The Folex was very easy to use. I watched and learned from Bryan earlier in the day.

I diluted the Folex about 1:1 and used a spray bottle to apply directly to the carpet. I went after it right away with the brush Bryan loaned me. I ran the PC at about #3 and I could see it clean the stains away. It was only damp to the touch after scrubbing so I used the regular house vac to make it pretty like so many folks here do. :D
