I`m looking for some feedback regarding leather conditioners for coated leather, ideally from people who have tried many different conditioners. I`ve been using Z-10, but as a professional I have been going through more than a bottle a week and am looking to see if there is a more affordable alternative out there, yet I still want something really good.

I`ve had my eye on the Griots, and the Sonus has peaked my interest somewhat...

The Meg`s Detailer Line one is pretty good, but can come out shiny on some leathers. Optimum Protectant Plus is likewise good, but the finish so matte that somtimes it looks like nothing`s been applied.

Does it smell pretty good to (the Meg`s)?

I don`t mind the shiny part, just need something that goes on easy, hopefully does not need to be buffed off, and smells nice.

Chemical Guys Leather Conditioner for the win! (http://autopia.org/forum/showthread.php?t=67958) Plus, it`s only like $25 a gallon.

Where can you get CG by the gallon?

RAG ...From CG. They are located in Los Angeles, not far from LAX so your shipping costs should be minimal. If you have a visit planned for LA you can stop by their place and pick it up in person.

4* Ultimate Leather Conditioner

Works well on all leather, vinyl, plastic, and rubber surfaces. Leather scent lasts three days, low sheen for 3 weeks.

I couldn`t agree more! I used to use Lexol & Meg`s for years until I discovered the CG Leather products. Great stuff.

Is it necessary to get the CG cleaner or can you use lexol cleaner and use CG conditioner? Thanks

Runnerbl...I`m sure you can use whatever cleaner one desires...of course the PH-balanced cleaners are recommended. So yes, the Lexol cleaner would work...or you could save yourself dough and simply use a 1:10 mix of distilled water and Woolite.

CG`s conditioner it is. Done. I`d consider other leather conditioners, but I don`t know why most of these other companies don`t offer their products by the gallon...it doesn`t make sense.

The CG stuff smells like crap, and nauseates me, and it lingers for hours. The Meg`s stuff has a lemon smell that, while also crappy, dissipates rapidly. But like I said, it can be REALLY shiny at times.
