hi,

maybe a dumb question, but on paint there is clay / polishes that do deep cleaning, and there are also strong cleaners for smooth plastics like plexus and AIO. For rubber there are dedicated rubber cleaners.

But, what about textured plastics .. how do you deep clean these? diluted APC maybe, or just soap / water good enough?

Diluted APC, meg`s #40 (i think that`s the rubber/vinyl cleaner), meg`s QID, etc etc...

I was doing a search on this exact topic. I`m looking for a good way to clean exterior textured plastic. I`m not talking about a dressing (i.e. 303, Z-16, etc.) I`m talking about cleaning (i.e. dirt, tar, bugs etc.). A simple wash doesn`t seem to get everything but I`ve been hesitiant to using anything more aggresive for fear of discoloring or damaging the plastic. I`ve wondered if lightly claying is safe but I doubt that would get everything that was "in" the texture. So what does everyone use?

I`ve tried the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser with some success on plastics.
