My friends poor 1995 Civic dx

Those pictures are taken after claybar, its covered in oxidixed paint/swirl marks/water spots you name it. Im not sure about how I should approach this, Im thinking AIO / Opt Polish / Ex-P / Wax? Maybe some SSR line up? Any help or advice would be great! I want this thing to bling!

Maybe OHC?

Go first with a paint cleaner like Megs Deep Crystal polish by hand to get rid of the oxidation...The aio should work as well. Try applying it by hand because the oxidation ruined a couple of my pads

go on with the makita rotary and #80 (or #83 if heavily swirled), with W8000 pad. then your LSP... AIO might not provide desired cut as I see in the picture... :hifive:

I think that by "hybrid" that it may have an Integra motor in it.

OHC + orange pad

OP + green pad

Your choice of sealants or waxes.

SSR 2.5 + orange

SSR 2 or 2.5 + green

Your choice of sealants or waxes.

Hmm, SSR2.5 w/orange pad @ 5k-6k OPM will cut it. If that dont work, I would try Optimum Compound. Then follow up with OP w/polishing pad. That will take care of those haze, swirls, etc.

I am guessing it`s cleared so it won`t have any oxidation. AIO won`t do anything for you especially if you use it prior to Optimum. You would want to use AIO after your leveling stage.

You`ll most likely need a rotary, a cutting pad and a compound like OHC or PG. Then choose a pad and polish to remove the swirls/haze from the compound step. Then continue down the aggression pad/product scale until you`re happy with the results then use your AIO if you like, then seal it.

Yes, one is more abrassive than the other. OHC > OC
