Hola.

Starting with an anthracite Acura TL - very nice color. The car was in ok shape overall, some swirling and soiled interior, but the main issue was a long scratch/scuff on the entire passenger side. I guess there was an incident with a lane change. I was initially unsure how it would come out (it looked pretty deep, and I could feel a lot of the lonf scratches), in the end I`d say it was 95% gone - the only part that really remains is on the fender flare (you`ll see), that`s done into the primer, so nothing but a repaint will help. Pics of the scratch were hard to get but I think you`ll get the idea.

Wash (P21S)

Clay (clay magic)

Opt Hyper on an orange on the scratch/scuff

Megs 80 to clean everything else up

Next up is an `03 Chevy Avalanche on 22`s. The wheels were tough! Paint was in moderately rough shape - you can tell the truck gets used for "truck-ish" stuff. Bugs were a real issue.

Wash (P21S) + a lot of bug squash

Clay

Menzerna IP on an orange

Menzerna FPII on a white

FTG

FMJ

PB`s wheel sealant on the wheels.

PB`s trim restore on all the trim (it needed it), then Autoglym Vinyl/Rubber care (which I am actually starting to like a lot)

This car was detailed at the tuner shop. It was actually still overheating due to an air bubble in the coolant system, but it was time to get cleaned so I cleaned!

Paint was in decent shape, some swirling and some long scratches on the doors and hood from the work at the shop. Clay took off a crazy amount of gunk.

Try not to hurt yourself, Steve.

Meg`s 80 on a white

Excellent work, Picus! I bet those Avalanche wheels were even less fun to clean than you are letting on! The Acura looks really good, I don`t recall seeing that color before and that is the first blue G35 I can remember seeing. :)

Thanks! I`m using my wife`s hand-me-down 300D. I mostly use a 28-135is lens. I still stink with it but I`m getting there.

Thanks Scott. Yes, they were a nightmare :) - so many waterspots when I showed up. That color Acura is really popular around here, must be that people want to split the difference between black and silver, it`s really nice in the sun. And ya, Caribbean blue G`s are pretty rare - I`m not a huge fan of it (I like Athens blue a lot), but it does have a really nice shimmer to it and it looks kind of purple in the shade. One neat thing it does is when it reflects water it almost looks like water.

Thank you, and yes I was amazed at how much trim it had. I used a lot of trim restore! It definitely looked a lot better for it, it was pretty dry.

Cheers everyone.

Yay, a convert. :)

You really don`t like most Gs? I understand some people hate the sedan, but most folks love the coupe. Aside from them being kind of a dime a dozen now I still love the look. The paint is definitely a pain in the butt though!

Cheers.
