I`m looking for an easy-to-find (Target, Wal-Mart, Costco, Pep Boys, etc) APC that I can use to loosen bugs on my bumper - I would like to avoid having to get all of them in my wash mitt if possible. Any suggestions? Also, should I cut the solution with water?

Thanks!

Alex

I was thinking SG but I`ve heard that it isn`t very gentle or nice to paint unless it`s cut way down.

What about Meg`s Gold Class Bug and Tar remover? Anyone know if this is a product that is normally found in stores, and have any experience with it?

I also see that Vroom (Target detailing line) makes an APC...maybe this would serve the purpose?

Meg`s should have a good APC, maybe in a purple bottle. I`ve also seen at WalMart something called Orange ? that might be a good choice.

I ended up getting some Gunk-brand "Bug and Tar Remover" in an aerosol can. Hopefully it works and doesn`t strip the paint off of my bumper ( - it does say..."clear coat safe"...)

I found this on Meg`s website but didn`t have any luck finding it in any stores...

Kafko Oil Eater @ Costco--just dilute it down 1:10 or so and you should be fine.

KIT Fast Start, available at ACE hardware, is also a very interesting product and doesn`t seem to be that detrimental to wax.

My Walmart carries the Greased Lightning Orange Blast Auto Degreaser in the car care aisle and it`s pretty inexpensive. It is an orange oil/d-limonene degreaser. I would cut it 1:4 or 1:10 with water.
