Detailed this Altima for a friend this weekend.

I washed it, clayed it, hand polished with Meg`s #2, hand polished with Meg`s #9, and applied Meg`s #26 by hand.

Mother`s chrome polish on the wheels after going over them with some fine steel wool. NXT insane shine tire spray on the tires.

I think the wheels are chrome but I couldn`t get them to shine no matter what I did to them. I think all the chrome rusted away and they are nickel wheels now

I`m not 100% happy with the results but there is not much else I can do since the car was in such bad shape and I don`t have a rotary or PC. I think it`s time for me to start doing some research about electric polishers.

Those look like polished aluminum wheels. Use some mag wheel cleaner/polish on them and they should look good.

I didn`t think polished aluminum wheels would rust like that. Are you sure?

Wow, your arm must be falling off... I couldn`t imagine doing three steps by hand, especially on a car that bad.

WOW, by hand?! How long did it take you to polish?

I probably spent about 10-12 hours on the car but that includes the interior which I didn`t any before or after pics for. I also cleaned up the engine a little bit.

I did get some mag wheel polish and they are a little shinier but they still don`t look like they should. I think he`ll be happy tomorrow when I give it back to him.

Wow, I would have needed oxygen if I did all that by hand, great job!

Makes me want to find a car like that, detail the heck out of it and turn around and sell for $1000.00 more.
