I`ve got some hazy, slightly dull, slightly scratched chrome that my various chrome polishes are not clearing up. What`s the secret to working chrome?

Have you tried blue magic polish or flitz? Both are very active in removing (chemically) oxidation. Blue Magic works well with chrome and coated wheels, and has more of a smooth polishing effect.

For cleaning up chrome I use a 50/50 mix of IP/FP.

I was thinking of picking up some Flitz, Blue Magic, Never Dull, etc. AIO didn`t touch the oxidation on my chrome pipes, although it did make them smoother.

If its oxidation, skip all of those products and grab the flitz or blue magic................fast!! lol!!! Polished aluminum and/ or chrome oxidation is a special kind of grime that a paint cleaner WILL NOT remove. The aim is to remove this dirt without scouring the wheel. Flitz and Blue Magic are formulated to remove aluminum and chrome oxidation without scrubbing off layers of the surface (non-abrasive). You won`t go wrong with either one, but flitz I would say from experience is just a bit stronger, so if you think that it will be a challenge, then try flitz first and see how you like the result. Good luck.

Thanks Lester, I`m going to pick up some Flitz tomorrow morning. FWIW, this is on my chrome exhaust pipe on my new motorcycle.
