As a new guy to the detailing world, I`m trying to read every post I can about how to make my car (and others!) better.

One thing I have found to be kind of frusturating is that I have no idea what "AIO" means, or QD (I figured that one out, but just for the sake a argument).

Just as a suggestion to help make this community better, I was thinking maybe it would be good to make a sticky post of all the acronyms that you "big timers" :chuckle: use.

I`ve read tons of posts, and I have seen that all of you guys are SO helpful and kind. Ya`ll are awesome! :hifive:

There are a few acronyms that are frequently used that are not listed in that list. If you come across one of them, feel free to send me a PM and I`ll define it for you.

:welcome to Autopia! :wavey

The Secret Decoder Ring only has about ~80% of the acronyms that we use - I can understand...there`s just too many new products released everyday. If there is something that you don`t see, never hesitate to ask.

When I joined the forum last summer, the decoder ring was helpful about 95% of the time. Now, it`s down to 80% or so. Still helpful, but every time I turn around, there`s another new product ot there.

Also, I looked at the product review section a lot more back then. Very helpful then, less so nowadays.

Any thoughts to update either? There are more and more products every day, and more new members looking for advice/information.

I have been looking for something like that thread. Take a look at my title. Very helpful stuff here but kinda hard to decipher sometimes.

It took me a while to figure out what LSP was too!

Can we get the SDR (Secret Decoder Ring) put in as a sticky in the forum areas?

It seems the decoder ring doesn`t have any Optimum products, at least I don`t think it does. I vote for including at least ONRWS (Optimum No Rinse Wash and Shine), a staple for many of us. :)
