Maintaining Finish on Honda CRV 2006 Cosmic Grey

I purchased a Honda CRV 2006 EXL Cosmic Grey with black leather seats a week ago. This is my first new vechicle. I want to make sure I keep it looking like new. Can anyone suggest some products I can use on my vechicle that will maintain exterior and interior finish. I prefer to be able to buy products in Ontario, Canada.

No point in suggesting specific products without also dilvulging the hows and whys of detailing.
