VW Golf 1.6, belongs to my aunt.

Car was swirled, scratched and rough

Treated as usual :

Optimum 50/50 on orange pad with rotary at 1600

Optimum 50/50 on bleu pad with PC at 5

SSR 2 and 1 on polishing pads with PC

P21S wax, 303 on plastics

Strange things :

-SSR 1 with a black polishing pad on my PC DUSTED LIKE HELL !!!!, don`t knwo what I did wrong.

-I also tried one more time DACP, and again dust-storm everywhere

Before : (watch the scotchbrite mark in the second pic...LOL)

No more pics as it was raining in between.

I also was unable to remove all swirls, strange because I tought a rotary and OC with an orange cutting pad should be strong enough...

I had the same problem but VW paint is tough stuff so I am waiting for my OP Hyper compound to some in.

I agree, VM is though paint. Same problem with Optimum Compound and a polishing pad with the PC. Got about 90% of them out, probably take a rotary to (maybe!) get them out close to 100%. Sad thing was, she never noticed them before and really didn`t care if I removed them or not as long as her paint shined and beaded when it rained!

You made an incredible improvement though and you certainly can`t expect every car to be able to end up competely defect free. The only ones who`d notice those very faint halo swirls are us anyway. ;)

Any tips for that dusting SSR1 ? On the botlle they claim "even use in the sun", and our is is not that hot...
