tire and wheel cleaner

i was wonderin what is a good wheel and tire cleaner...something that isnt too acidic i suppose. thnx for ur help!

excellent tire and wheel cleaner, i wish they made it in gallons with a dilutable ratio. i go through this stuff pretty fast. i`ve been using the eo1 bucket-less car wash on the tires and it seems to do a decent job. just spray on wet wheel and scrub away...

Some people don`t agree with this, but I`ve been using dilluted Westley`s Bleche White on tires for about 12 years, and still love it. I dillute it 50/50 with water, and it works great. I also use this product (dilluted) when cleaning engines too.



On wheels, I use AutoMagic non-acid wheel cleaner, again dilluted 50/50 with water. Every now and then I`ll have to use it full strength on a really filthy wheel, but it`s very rare.

I too use the Westley`s bleche 50/50 mixture on tires and engine bays. I also use dawn with Westleys to clean the engine.

thnx guys...fo far ive been using good ole simple green...it works well, though you have to rinse it off really really well. but i was just wondering if there was anything else out there that was worth a try...ill prolly try that EO A2Z first if it isnt too expensive....cheers

Just be careful if using SG near aluminum wheels . . . SG and aluminum don`t mix.

i just tried out Menzerna Gel Wheel and Tire Cleaner, worked great on some lightly dirty wheels and took the brown off the tires. i really like it

On the rare occasions when I don`t just use a sorta-strong shampoo mix I use either Griot`s Wheel Cleaner or the strong stuff from TOL. I use a diluted mix of the Griot`s to clean my tires but I keep it off the (sealed) wheels.



I did try the A2Z on some loaner cars, and it worked very well. Pretty strong stuff though.



There have been numerous reports of Simple Green damaging the finishes of wheels, and it`s really nasty on bare aluminum. That`s one product I never let near my wheels. In fact, I don`t even like to use it on undercarriages.

yeah i use hi temps tire cleaner 8:1 normally. the first time i used it was on a suped up neon lol it actually made the tires look wet and slick before applying my dressing. i was amazed with it then i like it now i think the trick is timing with it. let it sit a few minutes but dont let it dry a few seconds

gee...i didnt know simple green had such negative findings...well i guess ill try out that eagle one first
