I did my own car today, Subaru Impreza GT (called so in Belgium), 220 whp, modified heavily for trackdriving.
I even use semi slick Pirelli tyres for my daily use, more fun in the corners..LOL
Started on friday with a wash and clay :
NXT wash with lambswhool mitt
OXO brushes for wheels, wells and sideskirts
MC2 orange degreaser on wheels, wells and lower parts of the car (fully covered in brake dust, oil, tar, and other track-crap)
Clayed with Sonus clay, home made lube (water-Zymol wash)
On Saturday morning, serious work was done :
Orange pad - SSR2.5 - Roof, hood, trunk
Orange pad - Optimum mix (50/50) for doors, bumpers, mirrors
Green DAS pad - SSR1
Bleu DAS pad - Autoglym SRP/AIO
Black (finishing) with SRP
Autoglym Extra gloss Protection with microfibre applicator
Sonus Acrylic Spritz for easy removing of above
Pinnacle Souveran Paste wax with yellow foam applicator
All polishes/waxes and sealants were removed with super plush yellow towels from Sonus
My car was heavily contaminated with tar spots, small scratches, spider webbing, dull spots, otherwise said : a mess. That`s the price for taking it regulary out on ttrack, especially the `Nurburgring.
I also used a spot sander from 3M for removing of fine scratches without having to sand a big part, I used it especially on the doorhandle surrounds and so... :

My car already did 70.000 miles, considering the abuse I give it from time to time, I even dare the challenge to compare it with a new one out of the showroom.
Aside from some halo`s and scrachtes that are to deep to remove, it look`s really dripping wet now.... :

This was one big experiment to try different pad/products combo`s of items that I ordered in the last months.
I`m really pleased with Poorboys and Optimum products.
Also for interior (trim restore-natural look) are they my favorites.
AIO is great, works the same as SRP, the same can I said about SG and EGP....
For now, it look`s good, but shouls I keep topping the Souveran or wait a few weeks and then do another Extra Gloss Protecton (or several layers of SG) + Souveran ?.
I also have Pinnacle Carnauba mist/OCW/NXT spray wax for weekly quick-wax jobs.
