Rain-X Glass Care 2000

What`s the verdict on this stuff? I used it a couple of years ago, and loved how quickly and thoroughly it cleaned windows. Is there a reason Rain-X stopped selling it? Most importantly, do I need to worry about washing it off, potentially onto the paint?
