View Full Version : So I went on a bit of a hike today near Devil`s Hole

I`ve never actually walked the Niagara gorge, even though I live 20 minutes from it. Anyway, I walked from Devil`s Hole to the Whirlpool and then back to Devil`s Hole. Awesome workout. I didn`t take my camera because I forgot to bring my backpack, so carrying it would have been a nuisance, but here`s pictures from when I got back:

You actually get really close to the water, and you notice how quickly it`s moving at that point. There are some parks where you could slip...and die. Not particularly a great idea. Fun though. We`re going to do the Canadian side next.

lol my friend has a dorm room in O`Shea that looked right out toward the Lewiston-Queenston bridge.

That`s the Niagara River after the Niagara Falls. And that`s the Robert Moses power plant. Canada has a similar contraption on their side. Some of you may be getting your power from it and you may not know it. Goodness knows that in the buffalo-niagara region that we get our power from a stinky coal plant :(
