It`s been discussed many times. IMO it will work fine. I have done it quite a few times with no problems.

I`ve never heard of anything you can`t top AIO with. It is a great product.

Are you guys just Z-6ing before application or are you doing an IPA wipedown first?

Is everyone doing this with ZFX enabled Zaino or has anyone tried it with Z-1 first?

Questions, questions... :dance

Z6 first. then Z2 or Z5 with ZFX. Z6 between coats.

Zaino needs a super clean surface, free of any oils to adhere and bond too. AIO, which is ooil free leaves an acrylic surface. Zaino, through my experience and many others have had it bond just fine to AIO.

Just Z6 prior to applying Z. You must use either ZFX or Z1 for the initial application. Both work fine with an AIO/Z6 foundation. If you are using Z1 there is no need to Z6 prior to application. Z1 is not only a bonding agent but also a mild surface prep (cleaning) agent.

So then there should be no problem putting a polymer over a acrylic surface?

Ala, #20 over AIO.

I just did EX-P over AIO with no problems at all and that`s an "Amino Functional Resin". I just wasn`t sure about the Zaino because I thought it might be more finicky but I guess that`s not the case!
