Carmax has a something like a peel-off stick-on dealer emblem - like a 3"x4" piece of tape with their name on it.

How do you remove that?

I use nail polish remover (acetone waterd down). Then immediatly wash it off. It worked for me.

Try a heat gun on the area, it`ll normally loosen the glue. Also maybe try dental floss and go extremely slow with it?

If you don`t have a heat gun try a hair dryer, just don`t go too hot. Once the glue warms up you should be able to get it to peel. Then clean it up and put some sealant or wax on the area.

Clean it with what?

Clean it with what?3M makes a tar/wax/adhesive remover that you may be able to find at parts stores, or at paint and body supply stores. Goo-Gone is a citrus solvent that is paint-safe and does an OK job on adhesives (I think they actually have an automotive-specific version out now). Two other options are denatured alcohol or naptha (lighter fluid).

All of those will strip wax in pretty short order . . . when you have the residue off, wash thoroughly and re-wax.
