Has anyone used one of the wall-mounted vacuum cleaners? My little 1hp ShopVac is ready to puke and the wall-mount`s space saving appeals to me. I have a killer 6hp ShopVac,but it`s a real pain to lug it around. Thanks for your input.

I have a RIDGID (http://www.ridgid.com/Tools/WD5500-Wall-Vac/index.htm) that works well

I have a 3 HP unit I bought at Home Depot, I love it! Very practical.

I don`t know anything about wall mounted units, but if you decide not to go that route I`d recommend a Fein Mini Turbo. It is the quietest and smallest vac of it`s size, and the quality is top notch. I`m a mobile detailer and this thing is a pleasure to bring with me.

With a wallmount remember to get a hose extenstion, mabe two.

I run a rigid 5hp, along with a extenstion kit I purchased from Home Depot.

I found the RIDGID (http://www.ridgid.com/Tools/WD5500-Wall-Vac/index.htm) that runner is talking about on the HD site. It is $99. It appears that it has the long hose with it (21`) but can`t tell for sure.

Here is what the description says:

1-7/8" x 7’ Expandable hose, 1-7/8" x 14’ Locking Hose

I have a Hoover GUV...got it on Home Shopping I believe. It SUCKS!!! IN THE GOOD WAY!!!

SOOO much better than hauling around a Shop Vac. Lots of attachments and a pretty long hose..probably about 20 ft or so.

I also use the Hoover GUV and I`m happy with it. Pretty good suction, fairly quiet, has a 30` hose, a very large collector capacity.

However, it is only for dry use . . . not a wet vac.
