I`m using microfiber to QD for the first time. It appears that microfiber leaves static

on the paint surface. As a result, it is attracting dust. I never had this problem when

I was using cotton towels. Has anyone else seen this problem? I`m using Cobra

super-plush microfiber.

Did you wash the MF first?

No. Does it really matter?

Yup. Always Always Always... wash your MF`s before first time use.

The static deal shouldn`t be an issue as it`s not that hard to discharge it, I think MF`s polyester make-up causes it to generate static electricity. But there usually is some residue left in MF`s pre-packaged. So wash them anyway.

Machine drying also causes terrible static build up, it did for me. It seems to be better if you use the no heat setting but line drying seems to work best.

agreed with eric. Always line dry or you can get some terrible static

Try the no heat setting next time.
