Hello all,

The weather is starting to clear up here in Cali and there are a bunch of convertibles to detail. Any recommendations on how to clean and treat canvus tops? What are some of the products used by the "xperts" ? Any tips will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have only done a handful of soft tops so far and have used the 303 line with some great success, as with all of their products. Dwayne has the kit on special over at PAC, give it a look.

I have used in the past a mild cleaning solution normally car wash with a little added Multi purpose cleaner and a brush to aggitate, then high pressure off the soap and dirt.

I then use my extractor on the roof and it comes out perfectly prepped ready for a product like Raggtopp or Autoglym Convertible pretectant. I find that the extractor is the key.

Good luck

I haven`t used the Ragg Top products... but have heard some great things.

My mustang has a Vinal convertible roof... I use a very soft brush and a mild detergent (i beleive its Mothers convertible top soap) but I also have used Poorboys new auto wash! ... and to protect it I Use 303 protectant
