shes under the impression that its for family use since i`ll be using it on our 3 cars...now that i got the OK, i got a few questions:

i plan on getting the PC7336 from lowes this weekend. i remember reading that the only difference between the 7336 and 7424 is a backing plate or something and otherwise its the same machine...is that right?

I also read about propel pads, i want to buy a kit but looks like one of the pad is out of stock. which set of pads should i buy? the DAS pads on autopia-carcare.com, or the propel pads? there are so many available its confusing me

I plan on using the zaino z2pro and z5. two of my cars have swirls and light scratches...i bought the zaino ZPC but haven`t use it yet. i read that its rather useless compared to some of the other polishes. can i use other polishes to get rid of the swirls and scratches, then apply z2pro and z5 on top of that?

thanks much

You are braver then I am admitting that your wife has to approve you spending $120. ;)

I have the propel pads from excel and I like them alot. I would suggest getting 2 each of the green and orange.

Order some menzerna IP and then use the ZPC to follow.

Print out this coupon as lowes will match home depot coupons:

The 7336 has a larger counterweight which many feel results in less vibration at high (5-6) speeds.

Yes, you can use other polishes, just make sure they are non-oily, do a Z7 wash, IPA wipedown, or use ZPC as your last polishing step to insure a good Zaino bond.

Both brands are good, and similar--Propel has a couple more grades available, although Autopia has the SFX pads also. You can`t go wrong either way.

I don`t think Lowe`s is accepting Home Depot coupons at this time. ;)

well crap...amazon.com sells the PC too, both 7336 and 7424 for $119, no tax and no shipping plus free 2 day shipping for me...should i go with that instead? or is it cheaper elsewhere?

Lowes will take the coupon. Print it out and cut off the terms on the right side. I think the 7336 is $109 at lowes, so that should put you at $88 or so plus tax.

So, which is better for car detailing...the 7336 or the 7424?

OK, I know I shouldn`t but this reminds me of a joke.

Upon arriving at their honeymoon suite, the groom who was a big fella pulled off his pants, handed them to his bride and instructed her to put them on.

She was petite and when she pulled the pants up they were three times her waste size so she told him she couldn`t wear his pants.

He replied, "And don`t you ever forget who wears the paints in this family".

She was shocked at his attitude but pulled off her panties, handed them to him and instructed him to put them on.

He stepped in them and since she was so small and he was so big, he could only pull them to his knees.

He said, "I can`t get in your panties".

To which she replied, "And until your attitude changes, you never will."

i don`t think home depot sells the PC. Lowes seem to be the only local place that has it.

what size pads should i get? 4", 6", 7"...so confusing, and i imagine size DOES matter in this case.
