Grit-guard makes one. I can`t remember where you can buy that one though. Also, Autogeek sells one and I think you can buy various parts to make one yourself from US Plastics.

Ettore makes one and I think they make the Griot`s unit: http://www.ettore.com/prod_win_clean.html

I bought one from Target last year. I think it`s made by Rubbermaid. I didn`t find it very useful. It`s too broad/shallow for my liking.

Go with Mikeyc`s suggestion on checking US Plastics, you can get nearly the same setup as grit guard for half the cost. Only difference is the wheeled cart. -OR- search around on the internet you might be able to find the grit guard version cheaper. I was just looking around last night for the same thing.

Check this thread

http://autopia.org/forum/showthread.php?t=65810&highlight=sonus+professional+bucket

It mostly discusses the $70 Sonus Professional Bucket (http://www.autopia-carcare.com/probucket.html)

There are some posts that also describe what others use or have made to provide the same function at a cheaper price. :spot

I have a nice (but not too expensive) double plastic bucket that I use for washing my cars, but I wanted it on wheels so I could drag it around after me as I wash the sides of my not-too-tall car using my rolling mechanic`s seat.

Using scrap wood and maybe $10.00 in purchasing 4 casters at Home Depot, I made a "cart" into which the bucket fits snugly. (Plywood bottom and 1x3 side rails, with 2 coats of blue paint left over from the kitchen repainting last year to protect the wood.)

Now I have at my disposal either a regular bucket or a bucket on wheels, whichever I want, and it cost me almost nothing, other than maybe an hour to put it together, which was fun.

DIY.

I remember being offered a 6 pack of grit guards for $20 at a car show when they

first came out.

Why are they still so darn expensive. still? They cant cost more than $2-3/ea. to make???

$8-10/ea.

and to get the best results they say to use 3 per bucket.

at any rate, $23 for a bucket dolly, if it`s a space saver issue, then it sounds like a deal.

personally, I bought a motorcycle lift at costco for $59 and it came with a cool roll around seat, pneumatic adjustable, padded, tool tray, 2.5" wheels, you get the idea.

I used the seat more than the lift.
